Fietsonderdelen Outlet is run by John van der Stouwe. I have over 17 years of experience with online stores, 13 of which were with a bicycle parts webshop. Initially, I operated it with a partner, but at the end of 2016, this partnership ended, and I started my own online bicycle parts webshop. It's been running very successfully for eight years now!

I was never a fanatic cyclist myself, but I always loved hopping on my mountain bike or road bike for a ride on weekends or during holidays. In the past, this rarely happened, but with the launch of the new webshop, I decided to simply make time for it. If possible, in the evenings and on weekends. But sometimes during the day too; I'll easily make up for those hours in the evening.

So, since March 2017, I've been cycling quite regularly. Sometimes alone, sometimes with the family (wife and three sons), but also often with others.
Depending on the time of year, I ride about 4,000-5,000 km a year. Mostly on my mountain bike, but sometimes also on my road bike or Tacx.

Highlights for me were:

• Cycle for Hope Marathon 2018: Over 220km on the MTB, both during the day and at night (night route on asphalt).
• Limburg's Finest 2019: 105 km with over 2,000 meters of elevation gain, of course on the MTB
• Cycle for Hope Marathon 2020: Over 230km of mountain biking, both day and night. This year, for the first time, the night route also went through the forest.
• Cycle for Hope Marathon 2021: Over 260km completed on the mountain bike! This year, the (new) night route once again led through the forest.
