Ten years ago, the Schwalbe 55-559 (26x2.15) Black Reflective Tire kicked off the balloon bike trend: comfortable cycling without expensive suspension technology. Air cushion tires provide natural suspension. At approximately 2 bar, a balloon bike rolls remarkably smoothly and with full suspension. A standard 37 mm wide tire needs to be inflated to 4 bar to roll similarly well.
