The Simson Cartridge Brake Shoes V-Brake 72mm are suitable for Shimano V-Brake brake systems. Because the brake linings on these brake shoes are replaceable, it's not necessary to replace the entire pads. The brake linings for these brake shoes are available separately under the name Simson Brake Pads for V-Brake Cartridge. Remove the retaining pin on the top of the brake shoe with needle-nose pliers. Slide the worn brake lining out of the brake shoe against the direction of travel. Slide the new brake lining into the brake shoe and secure it with the retaining pin.
